Hunter James

My older sister, Lindsay, welcomed baby number two into her family a couple weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier for them! Hunter James was born on June 22nd and was 8 pounds 3 ounces and 19.5 inches long. A small baby compared to his big sister! He had a full head of hair, just like big sis, and could not be any cuter! So happy for Lindsay and JI and their new family of four!

Memorial Day 2011

This year was a fun memorial day weekend. We worked our bums off in our yard, visited grave sites, watched our neighborhood get flooded, visited friends, met a new friend for Grady and enjoyed time with the family. Here is our Memorial Day weekend in review:

Hilary's Shower

{click to enlarge}

Another baby is joining the group! Hilary is having another little girl! She was the first of our friends to have a baby and none of us were quite in the right state of mind to throw a proper shower. So... even though this is number two for Hil she got a great shower, complete with a baby quilt! I'm always surprised at how cute they turn out! Congrats Hil! Can't wait to meet the little one!

Avery Elise

Avery Elise was born Friday, September 3rd. She was a tiny little 6 pounds 2 ounces. She is darling and very well behaved for a newborn baby. Congrats Courtnee and Jade! I am in love with her already. Can't wait for her to have a little buddy in a few months! {look at those cute tiny little ears!}

Brynn's Baby Shower

My cute friend Brynn will be having her baby this month, and we had our traditional friend shower for her. Every time one of our friends has a baby we make a patchwork quilt that we all contribute our own fabric to. It always ends up being unique and super cute! I think Brynn's turned out especially good! Can't wait to see that cute baby! Congrats Brynn!

Henry

Baby Henry is finally here! He's a little early, but we are so glad to see him! He is such a cutie, and we just LOVE him! Congrats Dan and Amber, we are so happy for you!

{Isn't he such a BOY?}
{a moment in history I had to capture. Jerr is, in fact, holding a real live baby!}

Mollie Jo

It's about that time, when my friends are just about all gone and married and now they start having KIDS! It seems like just yesterday we were all sitting in the cafeteria in high school gossiping about boys, and now look at us! My friend, Lindie, is having a baby girl soon, and I couldn't be happier for her! We had a shower for her and she got some seriously cute stuff! I am so excited to meet little Mollie Jo! Congrats Lindie and Tom!

Happy Easter

I am so thankful for this special day to celebrate and remember the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the sacrifice that He made for us. I feel so blessed to know that He atoned for us that we might be able to be with our Father in Heaven again. For Easter we had our monthly FHE at my Dad's house. We all went around and shared our favorite scripture. Mine is:

"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation."
-Isaiah 12:2

I feel like this scripture goes perfectly with this special time of year. He is MY salvation, and I am so thankful for Him and His ultimate sacrifice.

While we were at my Dad's for Easter we had a fun little Easter egg hunt. We were told that one of the many eggs had some money in it... that made the competition a little tighter. We ran through the yard like little kids, scouring through trees and bushes looking for that one magical egg. Jerry was the lucky winner and found a ten dollar bill in his plastic egg! It was so fun to see all the little kids dressed up in their Easter gear! I cannot get enough of my little nieces. We then had a DELICIOUS dinner and yummy dessert. Then we had our traditional egg wars {I still can't believe some people don't know what this is}, and I took 2nd place! Boo yeah! Ah, I just LOVE holidays. We made the rounds and visited Jerry's parents and wished them a Happy Easter. I feel so lucky to have such a great family and extended family. I love you all!! Thanks for a great Easter!
